Of course it would be nice if there remained a standard way to read the
country information from the user so that he does not need to hassle with
choosing his country.  Why should he have to choose his country for every
app?  I do have my own method of selecting the country but when a new user
starts Quik Budget for the first time, I go ahead and set the country to
whatever PalmOS says it is.

I think that this should be standardized and published.  How about an API
call to return the country info?  Obviously this is too late for 3.5 but it
would be nice to have going forward.
