David, your right...

Darn, I forgot. Let me get that bag of money I left under the bed for just
such occasions.
Not to be cynical, but I might be able to afford 100 shares of the PALM IPO
at the IPO price because i love it, but I sure can't afford 50 shares of
3COM. That "MIGHT be distributed as the SEC SA1 filing states." From what I
read there are no guarantees the shares will be distributed six months from
now to 3COM share holders. The words definitely or will be were not used.

See for yourself www.freeedgar.com SA1 filing.

If Red Hat, VA Linux and Caldera can do it why can't 3Com. Sounds like a
scheme to prop up the 3Com stock price. I looked it up. It seems to be
rising since the announcement. It appears to be a reward for large 3Com
stockholders, NOT the poor developers! The big stockholders will benefit
most from the work done here, not the people who actually do the work.

I will not be buying 3Com stock to get palm shares. I am just disappointed
that 3Com has decided to give the real benefits to large stockholders, not
the developers. What you're saying is prop up the parent stock and I'll
reward you with this IPO.

My apologies to the list for taking up your time for this email. It just
would of been a real treat to make a buck on our work like the developers
(brother works on Linux products) of Red Hat.

C.

Again, sorry for wasting email on this but I gotta call it as I see it. Free
exchange of ideas my friends.
