hi!
PilRC 2.5b is available now from the usual place - but newbies:
http://www.hig.se/~ardiri/development/palmIII/index.html
it is great to see the response to PilRC - the project is alive
again :)) keep submitting bugs and/or bugfixes. if you do have
a bug.. send as much info as you can! it does help :>
changes in 2.5b:
- tAIS and tStr resources
a few handling errors (nothing fatal) for tAIS and tStr
resources (ID management) during parsing
fix by: Darren Chi ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
- icon / bitmap compression
bug report: James Lee
Frank Fejes
Mike McCollister
a very interesting bug :P only occured with bitmap
families and sometimes with compression. the next depth
offset was being rounded DOWN, instead up UP :P thats
fix #1, the compression? i just set the reallocated
memory to zero - and it did not repeat for me.. anyone
else have a problem??
i wrote a sample program that tested both "smallicon" and
"icon" to try and replicate the bugs being reported.. but
they worked no problem :) as for compression? seems to work
fine
fix by: Aaron Ardiri ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
- RGB -> Color Index fix
bug report: David Oakley
for those "fun programming" guys who like masking bitmaps,
this was pretty serious :)) (astraware) :> black should
really be index #255 :> hehe.. the RGB->Index algorithm
found the first best match. which was 230 something :>>
some cool effects neverless! :)
0,0,0 always returns #255 :>
fix by: Aaron Ardiri ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
notice that PilRCUI has not changed in the latest releases
i have included it again - however i am not building it
(as i dont have the windoze C/C++ GUI compiler installed yet)
however, there is some great things coming in PilRCUI - but
when i get the info and patches, i will let everyone know!
cheers.
az.
