Don't give up.  I don't know if you're using a Mac, a PC, or Unix, but I've
found Mac programmers learn Palm OS programming faster than PC programmers,
partly because "Mac" concepts such as creator ids and Mac resources just
don't exist on the PC.

Although a bit dated, I recommend the Rhodes & McKeehan book -- I think a
2nd edition is in the works.  Palm OS Programming for Dummies by O'Hara &
Schettino is another good source of info.

And take a look at Doctor Dobb's Journal, the January 2000 issue, for a good
article to get you started.
