!Starting HotSync without button

hi,

   are there a simple way (like a .bat or a .com) program to start hotsync without 
having to press the button in the craddle? i want to call it from a bat file (windows).

   i think that when you press the button, some bit is inserted in a specific com port 
that activates the hotsync manager. can this be done via software?

   i'm using palm pro, palm os 2.05.
