hello min,
U r on the right track. even i'd also same o/p (what u've shown). but as i
told u, u didn't went to nxt step.
when u select "WorkPad C3 Modem" and phone no 00, say connect which will
display dig box Signing on.
then cancel this by clicking on Cancel. ( U might feel what rubbish this
fellow is telling me...)
Dont wait till timeput occurs, as ssoon as signing on / connecting dlg box
is displayed, cancel it &
then, select "Direct Serial" which has no Phone no. ( ya remember ur RAS
modemm setting must have speed AFAP 57600 )
then Click Connect.. it says Signing on & then Connection established..
here U might get an err ( PPP failure.. its the Network settings prob, U'll
have to set it.)
but, if ur settings r ok, This will get connected.

This is just a work arround...

For further details , u can refer to RAS setting help given in Windows. and
, ref3.pdf in CW help.

hey, dont give up..
Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE bcoz it itself says I-M-POSSIBLE.

Rest Best in Next
MAbhijit.

Subject: Re: Wireless PPP/RAS server for PalmV/VII

Hi, I tried with Abhijit's advice which seems to be
the easiest. However, I could not get the connection
established. I am not sure which side is wrong or both
were setup wrong. On the Palm side, I use
"WindowsRAS"
service, and "Direct Serial" connection (try the
WorkPad C3 modem" first does not seem to help much).
BTW, the Palm is PalmVx(PalmOS3.3) sitting on a
craddle. On the Windows2000 side, I setup the RAS to
use direct 2PC connection via COM1. While I tap
connect on the Palm, the PC and Palm are talking to
each other but in the end I got timeout dialog on the
Palm side. Here is the trace from W2K side.

I would appreciate if anyone could shed lights on
this.

    Thanks,
