I'm having trouble with getting email here at MW (no thanks to a new
firewall :-(...) but if I'm not mistaken this is documented in the MSL C++
Reference, in the section on templates. This isn't actually a bug in the
compiler - if I recall correctly, this is specified in the ANSI C++ standard
as well to work around certain compiler limitations.
