Hi everyone !
Okay, by now we all know that while some folks are having no problem with the
Windows Constructor, there are some who are definitely suffering.
Due to the differences in the various WIndows flavors we've goofed up in a few
areas...
- from what I have come to gather, its mostly Win 98 users who are experiencing
problems.
- Win NT/95 should be fine... (95 users may be experiencing the blue and red
channel swapping problem).
This is what you can do to help us solve this problem quickly -
email me (directly) with your machine's configuration if you are experiencing
problems with color bitmaps (with ver 1.5b5).
(by problems I am referring to - bitmaps not getting saved, red-blue channels
getting swapped,...at this time please do not send me your UI concerns).
Few points :
1) The family editors will always be created with dimensions 16 x 16. You can
CHANGE that easily by just clicking on the value and typing in a new one.
2) However, since all bitmaps that you create for a family have to be the same
size you need to resize all the bitmaps to be the same dimension as that
specified in the family. Its a pain to do that - I know - and hopefully we can
get that rectified in the future...
3) The Icon/Multibit Icon editors should not be used for editing color images.
Use the family editors for that. There is a bug in the current version where
the colors menu has all the menu items enabled for the Icon/Multibit icon
editors. Note that the Icon eidtor can handle only 1-bit depth and the Multibit
icon editor can handle 1- and 2-bit depths.
4) Under 95, there have been cases when the red and blue channels are getting
swapped...it seems like a timing issue...we are looking into this. A good test
for checking if you have this problem is to select a pure blue (like that last
one in the 3rd row) and drawing with it; save this and see if it shows up as red
?
Thanks for being patient while we try to solve this.

PS
Hey, anyone notice that editor windows now remember their location, and what
about the 100% CPU usage ?
