The Palm OS Emulator (POSER) supports very precise profiling. You can
programmatically control the start/stop/dump, or you can simply control the
profiling from the menu. You need to run the profiling version of POSER.
Download the latest version of POSER and give it a try. If you're using a
Mac, you can view the profile results as a tree with expand/collapse of
nodes. On the PC, you're stuck reading a big text file, which works but
isn't as easy to use. The profile results files will apear in the folder
where the emulator application sits.
