I have been having some serious problems with the emulator and the color roms.
I am using 3.0a4 for Mac POSE. I trashed the other versions (d29
etc), as well as their preferences.
I am using the palmos35-dr4-en-colordbg.rom and palmos35-dr4-en-color rom.
I attempt to start up the emulator, select "IIIc" 8 megs, Standard
English Skin, and either of the above ROMS. Sometimes it will work,
but if it stops (with the below errors), it requires a reboot.
I am running CWR6 on a G3, OS 8.6, 320 Megs RAM etc.
The crash will generate the following error:
"The current application" (unknown version) has just tried to write
to the ROM. If this is the latest version of "the current
application" please report this to the applicaiton author.
followed by (after hitting debug button on above dialog)
"An exception occured while the emulator was calling the Palm OS
function "MemNumberHeaps". The emulator is now in an unstable state
and will quit"
This is Very Frustrating! I believe I updated the new SDK 3.5
correctly, what could be causing this?
thanks
