I've never heard of anyone else having this problem. And, FWIW, Poser makes no
direct X calls, nor does any manipulation of fonts.
I have crashed the X server *building* Poser (it chokes on the SkinData#.i files
if they attempt to bring in too much data), but that doesn't sound like what
you're running into. And, if it is, then that would be a gcc problem, not a
Poser problem.

Subject: Linux Pose Corrupts RH X Server ?
I compiled the unix version of POSE downloaded from the palm site.
In order to do that I first had to install the FLTK X Toolkit.
Everything went fine on Red hat Linux Version 6.1. I got POSE to work.
A few hours later when I rebooted by PC, X failed to start. There was a
problem
starting the xfs font server.
Has anyone faced this problem ? I installed the 1.0.7 version of FLTK.
Does FLTK (I guess its some sort of toolkit for X) corrrupt the X font
server on RH 6.1 ?
Thanks
Shahed
