Another way to import a .dat files to the emulator, in addition to those mentioned in the devzone article, is to first perform a HotSync to load the data onto a Palm handheld; then to use linux/unix pilot-xfer (or the dubug nub, or Palm Buddy, etc.) to read the pdb database out of the handheld unit and onto the desktop PC. One can then load the emulator with the new pdb file. Useful if you have a Mac with only one serial port (or none). IMHO. YMMV.
