All this is fun to talk about, but as you say, it shouldn't be a bottleneck for most,
if not all, applications, so there's no reason to change it. Changing the color space
to pick better "closest" colors has some value, but if an application wants to display
a photo-realistic image, it'll probably want to compute a best fit palette, and so it
can have its own code to map colors to this palette too. Applying desktop computer
techniques to the Palm is not the right answer! Now, if anyone have any real
bottlenecks, that's another story...
