Write a hack that calls your shared library, and distribute them together.
If you try to do it yourself in a shared library, via SysSetTrapAddress,
you'll probably break other hacks that rely on patching the same trap.
...of course, you may not care about that.
In any case, if you override a system trap with your own function, you are
hacking. :-)
