GL is a bit of overkill for what he has in mind. I see a very good third party
opportunity for a general purpose, 2D graphics
library with all the stuff that one expected from either Mac QuickDraw or Windows DC.
My laundry list for this would be something
like:
* Circles and Arcs
* Polygons
* Flood filling
* Painting w/ various brushes
* Double buffering memory management
* Sprites
* Automatic adjustment of different screen depths
* Brush management
* Font handling
Anyone looking for a student project? This would make a killer piece of freeware!
