I actually have seen this too ... but had not sat down and worked enough to
see if there was any correlation to events I did. And like you, I found
that the daftest things fixed it.. repainting certain sections, recreating
the resource... etc.
If I remember correctly this occurred to me on various bitmaps.. from ones
I created in the new constructor, to ones I pasted in.
