I have a device, that has an IR receiver, but is not IrDA aware. i.e. it basically does physical layer conversion from IR to RS232. I am trying to get Palm applications which use PPP (which I did not write) to use IR signaling instead of the RS232 serial port, without going through the IrDA IrComm stack, since I don't to write an IrDA stack for my other device. Does anyone know of a way to use the built in PPP stack of the palm over IR physical? I just want to change the the physical layer from RS232 signaling to physical IR.
