What I've done is to put the bitmap and the color table (and other things) into a
single structure of my own. Then when I want to load the bitmap I get the record, and
I've got the color table handy to set into the palette without having it as part of
the actual BitmapType. If you're careful and WinScreenMode according to the bitmap
this can work for 2, 4, and 8 bit bitmaps.
