I know a user who had a Fatal Error come up on the screen, and pressing the Reset button in the dialog didn't work. The problem was, he didn't know about the reset pin in the back. He had just done a bunch of data entry in his Palm while on an airplane, so he decided to not do anything to it until he asked someone about it. By the time he got around to asking me, his battery had drained and he lost all his data. The battery drained because when the reset dialog was up, the device wouldn't sleep. Understandable. All he needed to do was push the reset button on the back, and he would have been fine. Is there any way to fix this so that if the Reset dialog is up, the device will sleep anyway, maybe going into a forced sleep mode? Of course, it would have to also know how to wake up again if you push a button. This implies a sort of separate mini-operating system that will take over when the real one is in a reset mode. If not, how about some directions to appear on the dialog box. Instead of just "Fatal Error", how about also "If the Reset button doesn't work, unscrew the top of your stylus and push the pin in the reset hole on the back." or something else hopefully more helpful.
