Eric,
I'm not 100% familiar with how the Palm OS 3.5 SDK was set up but after
looking into this, I think it is because the 3.5 SDK projects were set up to
be used with the R6 IDE and will not work with the R5 patched IDE.
Here are the steps that should get the 3.5 SDK to work with the R5 IDE:
1. Install R5 straight from the CD.
2. Download the patches, but don't install them yet.
3. Download and install the Palm OS 3.5 SDK.
4. Install CW for Palm R5 Patch 1 and Patch 2
5. Install the new Constructor 1.5.0.9 from the Solution Provider website.
This should allow you to build and debug Palm OS 3.5 apps. But, it still
won't allow you to open the Palm OS 3.5 SDK stationery since those project
files were created a newer IDE than R5. However, it shouldn't be too hard to
create a Palm OS project from an R5 empty project. Or, if you like, email me
directly and I'll send you the Palm OS C project I put together in R5.
