Using custom Proxy servers doesn't make the system more secure - data
gets sent over the air and over wire...

You can use secure HTTP with the Palm VII.  If that is not secure
enough, you could do your own encryption at the server end and run a
decoding PRC in the Palm unit.

How can one leverage the Web Clipping approach for
making Corporate data available to its users? Big
Coporations would certainly refuse to use the Palm
Proxy Servers (which I guess are public proxies)
citing security concerns. 
Are there any alternative solutions to this security hole?
