I have just released a (beta) font preview utility (which
can be found on PalmGear -- look for "AAA FontView",
or go to http://www.catslair.com/tech/palm/).

There is a biiig problem with small fonts though. I have
a field where I set the sample text. Each time you select
a font from the list, I reset the font used to display the field.
So far, so good. The problem comes when you set the
font to one of the really really small fonts out there. The
field displays the sample text, then goes on to display MORE
stuff. On a merely small font, such as "Midget-XS" this
is a curiosity, but when I tried "Ants", I must've ran into
some protected memory area because the Palm required
a reset!

So: I thought that the fields were supposed to do their
own memory management. They should know the length
of the text they are displaying, and display no more than
that. They should stop at the '\0' at the very least! Changing
the font size really should not cause the field to display
beyond the entered text, should it?

Can anybody tell me what is going on with this? Does
anybody have any suggestions on how to fix it?
