Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it really sounds like your problem is in not
understanding how to access menus. The apps that come with the Palm
(Address, Calc, DateBook, Expense, Mail, Memo Pad, To Do List) and the
application Launcher itself all have a menu bar with one or more menus. To
access an application's menu bar, tap on the silk-screen menu button (there
are 4 silk-screen buttons below the area where your app runs: Applications,
Menu, Calculator, and Find). The button in the lower left corner is the
Menu button. If you tap the Menu button, the current application's title
will be covered up with the menu bar. If you tap on a menu item, the app
responds by doing something.
For example, Memo Pad has a menu bar which contains two menus, "Record" and
"Options". The "Record" menu contains one menu item, "Beam Category". The
"Options" menu contains "Font...", "Preferences...", "Security...", and
"About Memo Pad". So, if you wanted to see Memo Pad's about box, you would:
1) Launch Memo Pad; 2) Tap the Menu button; 3) Tap on "Options"; 4) Tap on
"About Memo Pad".
