All good suggestions, I'm sure, but at the moment I don't care to spend
my time tracking down bugs in PalmOS so much as I am looking for a
confirmation (or denial) from Palm that such a bug exists (as well as
making sure the bug is reported so that hopefully it will be fixed in the
future). We tell customers that our databases are limited to 32K and I
always thought if I worked hard and made sure I didn't use integers for
any counters that I could up that limit to 64K and now I find that the
REAL limit, if you need to sort (and don't you almost always with a
database?), is 16K which is a real problem. Obviously I can write my own
sort routines, and just as obviously I'd rather not.
I haven't yet tried recompiling code using DmInsertionSort. That might be
the next step, but again I would love to hear from someone at Palm who
undoubtedly already knows the answer and can save me the effort (also
known as wasted time if the answer is already known).
