Quite.  But it is a little more subtle than the panel.  There are
several preferences, one for the wireless, one for the a hard
connection, and others that I don't know about (they are mentioned in
the documentation but not as preferences).

Each has an IP address, port, and protocol (yes, UDP or TCP).  If it
detects POSE, it points at one, but if it detects a VII or OmniSky it
points at another. (I think palm.net has two servers, one for POSE and
one for Palm VIIs going wireless).

The problem is that the wireless server is going to check where the
request is coming from and may even be behind a firewall so if the IP
of your Palm device (at the point it goes onto the internet) isn't
within the range for the service it won't accept your packets.

The development server will work (since POSE can come from any IP
address), but I don't think you can switch between palm.net and
omnisky.com proxies.

Someone else here was working on a hack for his VII and got it working
with the cradle with mPPP (search for that in the subject).
