Yes, I expect that is right. This leads to two observations:
* How come RPM didn't complain that the required libraries were missing
when you installed prc-tools.rpm?
* Probably Mandrake has some libstdc++-compat-x.y.z.rpm which you can
install to deal with this. (Look on http://rufus.w3.org/linux/RPM/ )
