For a bit of history, line 'F' instructions (2 bytes, beginning with the bit
sequence 1111) were originally reserved for accessing a math coprocessor.
Since the original 68k did not have floating point support, engineers had
reserved this range of opcodes for math instructions (if I remember well,
there is a CPU like the 68881 which may provide the instructions that fit in
the 'F' line, but I can't say more without looking at the manuals :-))
