That happened to me with a trial unit, several months ago. The short answer
seemed to be: the trial units are different from retail units in a crucial
way (method of assigning MAN number or something, but I don't recall
exactly) which causes them to be incompatible with the pre-activate feature
of Palm.Net. I believe we revived it by canceling the old account and
activating a new one, though it sounds like this isn't working for you.
Just wanted to mention that the field trial units _are_ different from
retail units in this respect so you shouldn't expect the thing to keep
working forever.
Like David Fedor said in another reply, just go get a real one.
