The truth is that you have no more right than they do to claim "official"
status ... or to put it another way, they have no less right than you do to
claim "official" status. As long as they are adhering to the GNU "copyleft"
policy they're version is just as legit as yours ... perhaps more so since
they published their sequel to the original PRC-tools well before you did.
I still think that it would be in everybody's best interests if one -- or
both -- of you took on a different name for your post-PRC-tools-0.5.0
packages ... but you seem to be too self-centered to entertain this notion.
In the meantime: stop behaving as if they have done something wrong by
providing PRC-tools 2.0. They haven't.
