Yeah, and we damned well better not see you using any SysSetTrapAddress()
calls in your hack, either!  The Palm code police will knock down your door
and break all of your styli.  :P

Brain is correct, writing your own version of PrefGetAppPrefs() is more
environmentally sound.  You can use a protected DB therein.  In fact, if you
want, I can email you the source code for two prefs-read and prefs-write
functions that do exactly what you need, using your own DB, no thought
required.  Just let me know.
