I have coded a scrolling field example by using the example on page
122-124 in the Palm Programming book. It works pretty well but there
are a couple of quirks.
1) I cannot select the text unless the last line in the field is
displayed. Why does this work this way? How do you fix it?
2) On every line, except the last line in the display, when I use the
newline stroke, a new line is started and the insertion point is
placed at the first character position of the new line. But when I
am at the last line in the field (I have 10 line spaces shown), and I
use the newline stroke, nothing happens immediately. The scrollbar
does not update, no new line is started. But as soon as I enter
another character, the newline is generated and the scrollbar is
updated.
Is this a known behavior of this example? What's up?
