Are you talking about your own app deleting its saved preferences from a
previous version? If so, your app can use PrefGetAppPreferences to check if
they exist and PrefSetAppPreferences to set the new prefs.
If you want to delete prefs left there by someone else's app, use the free
PrefEd by Bodo Bellut. It comes with source code if you are interested in
seeing how he does it.
