I am developing a network application and need advice/suggestions for dealing with NetLibOpen timeouts when trying to bring up the network connection. When I call NetLibOpen in preparation for network calls, a "Service Connection Progress" status is displayed over my application. It is currently taking 90 seconds for NetLibOpen to timeout when the connection is not available. If the service is available, everything works well. My problem is just that the 90 second timeout is too long and requiring the user to cancel the connection attempt is not acceptable. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to set the timeout for the Spectrum24 service when establishing the initial connection with NetLibOpen.
