Hi,

I'm using a Vx, OS3.3 and found the following problem:
-when there is a FATAL ERROR, the OS will never go into sleep mode,
except the user taps the OK field in the Fatal Error message.

This may lead to heavy battery drains, for example fatal errors might be
caused by alarm software. When not responding to the Fatal Error Windows
(since not hearing any alarm in this case) the batteries might be empty
whithin some few hours. Please imagine, alarms may occure at any time,
i.e. midnight... etc.
In the internet newslines/user groups this failure mode IS confirmed by
many users.

In principle it can be prooven (and was also by myself) just by causing any
Fatal Error and waiting (endless) for Auto Sleep mode of the Palm. If you
like, I could forward you the internet page addresses as well as some test
software (causing an error).
Could you please let me know your assumption to this issue? Is it
planned to eliminate this OS bug? If yes when? Does OS3.5 maybe consideres
this
already?

Thanks in advance,
J. Fedrich
