Is there a way to determine the database
that is associated with a stream file?
In other words, if I'm accessing data
with fopen(), fread(), fwrite(), fclose(),
etc., what's the Palm database?
I want to use the TRG FlashPro API, so I
can put some files into Flash RAM, where's
they'll be safe from dead batteries. But
the program uses file I/O instead of directly
accessing the Palm databases. And the FlashPro
API only works with databases.
I knew this could become a problem when I wrote
the code, but in PalmOS 3.0 a lot of weird
things happened when I used databases, and the
folks at Palm couldn't help. It was also useful
to reuse file code from other non-Palm projects.
