I believe the SPT1500 runs 3.0, the SPT1700 runs 3.1 and the
SPT1740 runs 3.2. (If I'm wrong I sure someone will correct me.)
I'd hope at some point Symbol will bring them all up to 3.5, but
since they have extensions to the OS for the barcode laser readers,
and on the 1740 for their local radio, this is not simply a case of
flashing a standard OS update.
Personally, I'd like to see a color version of the 1500, with rechargable
batteries. But I don't know if Symbol are working on this yet.
