Dear Palm:
This is where I really start getting confused. Some people seem to have no
problem with segments larger than 64K. The comment below indicates that at
least one of the two segments has to exceed 64k (156k / 2 = 78k). Knowledge
Base article #1469 states that if a CODE resource is greater than 64k, a
limitation in Hotsync prevents it from being loaded into either POSE or a
handheld.
So which is it? Is the Knowledge Base article wrong, or is perhaps this
person not using Hotsync to load their resource?
If ever a subject called for clear, detailed, definitive documentation, it's
this. Obviously a critical mass of experienced Palm developers has been
reached and many are hitting this significant ceiling without enough
reliable guidance to depend on. Their programs have grown and matured, and
now they find they can't add vital features because their programs won't
compile anymore.
Maybe I'm over-reacting because I'm (temporarily, I hope) one of those
stricken developers who hasn't had time yet to puzzle this out. But on the
other hand, should I *have* to puzzle this one out?
More info... please!

Subject: Re: Problems with Multi-Segment C++ Application
I believe the calling function and called function shouldn't be more than
32K
apart. I have an application with two segments and the size of PRC is 156K.
