Yargh! I hate all this "one thing must be better than another".
C ... C++ ... Java ... whatever.
They are all tools. Some are better in certain situations than
others ... but the others may be more appropriate given different
circumstances. No carpenter gets by knowing only how to use
a hammer. Sometimes you need a screwdriver. As developers
we must be aware of the variety of tools at our disposal and
the advantages -- and disadvantages -- of each.
There is no silver bullet.
