Turn off netlib redirection.
Make sure the come port is right.
Make sure there's a modem on your com port.
I did this for a while, for various tests. Works fine.
Nowadays I use a null modem cable to loop my serial ports together, running POSE on
one COM port and MochaPPP on the other.
This works just as well.
