I've made some progress since my last message. I can step through my
code if I don't step through too quickly. That's how it seems. Am I
being superstitious? Is it important to not step through code quickly?
CW R6 is still crashing a lot. I fire my game in the emulator and
when something has gone wrong and I kill it, CW crashes, the emulator
crashes, and I reboot. I'm spending a lot of time rebooting.
Here's what I could use help on: I compile and run my game in the
emulator or on a real Palm device and it looks like the arrow that
shows what code is being executed is wrong (in the interactive
debugger). For a while it looked as if it was executing BOTH the if
and else clauses of my if statement. Like it was just continuing
through the code line by line regardless of what was there. Crazy!
Now I can see there's just a mismatch between the code that's
actually being run and where the debugger thinks we are. I figured it
out from an error alert that my code displays because CW said we were
running code several lines above the alert code. Is there a common
mistake that would cause this? I've used CodeWarrior Pro for the Mac
and Windows for years and I swear I've made it through developing
entire products without a problem.
Thanks,
Eric
