When I try to make a bitmap in Constructor 1.5b5, it seems to be
ignoring the depth (Colors) I pick, and also the picture I draw, and
instead giving me a solid black, 8-bit deep picture.

I created a new bitmap, set its size to width: 7, height: 4, set the
Colors to Black-and-white, drew a picture and then closed the bitmap
window. When I re-open the window, the picture is the right size, but
solid black and the colors are back to "256 colors".

I am on Windows98, my Display properties are 16-bit color and 1280x1024
pixels, if it matters.

Is there a fix or at least a work-around?

(I tried looking in the Knowledge Base, but it seems to be down now:
http://oasis.palm.com/dev/kb/ reports: "Developer Knowledge Base Error"
for all queries).

Thanks,
Brad Myers
