Can't you implement a registration that only allows the app to work under a
specific user name for a device? This is more difficult to hack than the
PreventBeam attribute. Insider, a database utility, allows users to set the
state of the Prevent Beam bit (ironically only with the registered version
of Insider).

There is an attribute bit for Databases. I think that the constant is
dmHdrAttrCopyPrevention. You can retrieve and set it with DmDatabaseInfo()
and DmSetDatabaseInfo().

Is there a way to prevent an application from being beamed from a Palm
device (i.e., to slow piracy)? Seems I read about a bit somewhere (and the
knowledge base appears to be down).
