Note that the Palm V modem sends a "pulsed break". ie, if you cal
SrmControl to turn on break, wait 500ms, and then turn it back off, you
DON'T get a 500 ms break. You get a series of smaller ones. This does not
happen with a serial cable or other external modems, seems to only be with
the Palm V modem.

Palm support claims it is a bug that will be fixed in a "future OS
release", although that sounds odd to me - I would expect it to be a bug in
the Palm V modem firmware.
