Yes, absolutely right. And in my case the precise time is irrelevant, I'm 
using it only to fire off periodic idle time "background" events. It's 
just that I was fooled temporarily by POSE's more frequent (and 
predictable!) nil events.

Agreed. Correct particularly in the sense that the app should be able to 
deal with "unexpected" nil events.
