I don't know much about the IrDA protocols, but I'll take a guess. I think
you need to connect at the LAP layer, then at the TinyTP layer, and finally
at the OBEX layer. Are you missing the TinyTP CONNECT?

I know there are reasons for implementing your own OBEX layer, but I'm
interested to know what yours are.
