Frank,
It's possible that the temp files CodeWarrior uses when debugging has gotten
corrupt. Go to your System Folder:Preferences:Metrowerks folder and delete
the CW Autosave and the CW Debugging Cache folders. Also, the debugger
needs to completely clean up after itself before it can be ready to debug
again (otherwise the device goes into its infinite Welcome loop and it's
hard reset/ctrl-alt-del time). So, when you close the debugger session and
it asks you if you want to kill the .prc, do so, and wait until you have the
Preferences screen on the device/emulator before debugging again.

I have similar symptoms, but with a totally different (and probably
non-supported configuration).
Mac Powerbook G3/400 300+MB Ram.
OS 8.6
CW Pro 5.2
CW Palm 6.0 (Lite updated with all available updates 3.5SDK, etc...)
If I try to use the 3.5 EN Color Debug ROM I get exactly 1 debug session,
then the system freezes, or the IDE goes into navel contemplation mode, etc.
If I use the 3.5 EN Color ROM (non-debug) it works until I slip-up and try
to restart the debugging session (reload the program to the emulator) before
the reset from the end of the previous sesssion is complete - this send the
IDE and Emulator into never-never land and requires a system reboot.
I probably should not be trying to merge and update the lite version, but I
ordered the Commerical CW Palm 6 and was told it is on back order for
probably 2 to 4 weeks. So, I am trying to limp along until I can get
official.

I am having an problem using Win2000. I can run the Emulator and debug my
application only once. If I try to debug a second time in the same session,
it doesn't work. CW doesn't freeze but the debug session just seems to go
into deep space. I have to manually get out of CW and the Emulator, then
restart everything. Anyone have the same problems and have found a solution?
