check out the example "app" i put in the PilRC distribution. i rewrote
FrmDoDialog() such that you can use your "typical" event handling
processing with MODAL forms. :)

the function call is "ApplicationDoDialog(..)" - be sure to check it
out. it may be the solution you are looking for :))
a load of "secret" programming techniques will be added to the PilRC
example, so watch out for it :))
