The intent of the contest certainly isn't to get innocent programmers to
write sample apps for us for free.
This is the fourth or fifth programming contest we've run over the years.
It's the first for our Palm product. A frequent request in previous
contests has been to see the winning apps, so we try to make it possible.
Please note that we do *NOT* require people to give up any rights to the
programs or even to make them available:
"Please indicate with your submission whether you give us permission to
put your program in the Downloads area of the NS BASIC website."
People have had a lot of fun with the previous contests. Sure, we get a
bit of publicity, but what it really does is help build the community of
NS Basic/Palm users and get them to share cool ideas of things to do.
I'd love to see similar contests for Codewarrior apps!
