Number Pad ??

What is the procedure for bringing up the number pad?
IE, user clicks on a sel trigger and the number pad comes up with the field
that currently has focus so that the user can easily input numbers into that
field.
Same thing happens as if you just pressed the 123 in the graffiti area ( I
know, why not just press graffiti 123 :) ).
