If I had ANY connections in the hardware manufacturing business, I'd make this in a heartbeat. But since I don't, I'd like to make a plea to anyone out there who makes hardware add-ons for Palms/Palm clones to please take head... What for ME would be ideal is a section along the bottom of your palm containing two tiny (but strong) non-moving (pressure only) thumb joysticks, two miniature throttle levers (like a physical slider), two extra buttons on the lower rear of the Palm (so you can press buttons while using the joysticks), and a stereo 16-bit headphone jack along with some extra memory to store music and sound effects. I picture the joysticks and throttles being less than 1/4 inch long and completely recessed into the Palm. This is a cross between an MP3 mixer and a joystick set. With it, you could port games to the palm that you can't even control properly on a PC - like Robotron and Assault, as well as cool flight games like Afterburner II. To those thinking "dude - just buy a Gameboy or portable Playstation", I see this as a unique market of "quick, fun games for adult players on the go". People who just want a few minutes of fun and not to devote 18 hours to finally explore a large media game. (Not to mention you only need carry your Palm.) If anyone has hardware power out there, I'd easily pay $79.99 for such a Palm add on. Heck, just a keyboard costs $99, so maybe I'd go even higher. Just a wish! Then you could say: "Can your PocketPC do that?" -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/
